Privacy Policy

01What we collect

• Account — your email address (or Apple/Google sign-in identifier) and authentication state, via Firebase Authentication.
• Alarms and stakes — your alarm schedules, missions, stake amounts, outcomes (completed / missed / charged / refunded), streaks, and appeal requests, stored in Google Firestore.
• Payments — handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we store only Stripe's customer and payment-method identifiers and charge records. We never see or store your full card number.
• Subscriptions — purchase state via RevenueCat and the app stores, so Pro features unlock on your devices.
• Crash reports — via Firebase Crashlytics (device model, OS version, crash traces), used only to fix bugs.

02What stays on your device

• Camera and motion data — movement missions are verified on your phone. Frames are processed on-device and are not uploaded.
• Proof clips — recordings of your wake-up missions are stored on your device and you can delete them at any time. One exception: for stakes of $50 or more, a short clip is uploaded solely to verify completion and is deleted immediately after verification.
• Your daily intention — written at wake-up, kept on your device.

03Accountability messages

If you choose to add an accountability contact, we use their number solely to send the message you configured when you miss a wake-up. We don't market to them, and you can remove the contact at any time.

04What we don't do

• No third-party advertising in the app, and no sale of personal data. Ever.
• No tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.
• No reading, sharing, or analyzing your proof clips beyond the $50+ verification described above.

05Sharing

Data is shared only with the processors named above (Google Firebase, Stripe, RevenueCat), each acting on our instructions to run the service, and with authorities if the law genuinely requires it. There are no other recipients.

06Retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account in the app (Settings → Account) and your account record, alarms, and stake history are deleted; Stripe and the app stores retain transaction records as financial regulations require. You can also email us to request deletion.

07Children

WakeStake is not directed at children. Money stakes require you to be 18 or older.

08Changes and contact

If this policy changes materially, we'll say so in the app. Questions or requests (access, deletion, complaint): support@wakestake.app.
